Clerk / Treasurer

The Village of Lake Ann does not maintain a public office.  All Village officials conduct administrative work from home in addition to their full time careers.

The Clerk and Treasurer are appointed by the Village President and confirmed by the Village Trustees. These appointees handle the administration and day to day management of record keeping, financial data, public and legal communications and other services for Village residents.  The Clerk and Treasurer report to the Village Council on a monthly basis during the regularly scheduled meeting .

Tax Information & Assessing

The Treasurer handles tax collection for summer and winter property taxes.  Tax payments must be mailed to the Village post office box.  Assessing services are handled by Almira Township.

Elections

Elections for Village trustees and the Village President are held every four years during the General Election in November.  Petitions and qualification requirements to run for these offices are available from the Village Clerk.  The Almira Township Clerk’s office administers elections for the Village of Lake Ann.
